Description
Gives short presentations to school groups in exhibit halls. Mostly active during weekday mornings (April-June) for field trips. What you gain: A chance to be "on stage" bringing the museum exhibits to life, hone your interpretation skills and see the spark of excitement as children discover a new topic. Our exhibits vary from a coal mine to Eastern Woodlands Longhouse to Nutrition & Dental Health and Susquehanna Greenway.

Description
Volunteers with photography and videography who would be willing to donate an hour or two of time photographing events at the Bloomsburg Children's Museum. Mostly during special event programs. What you gain: Capture the memories made at the museum and have your creative work on view on the museum's website & social media, be a part of the fun behind the scenes at events and meet new people.

Weed the gardens, assist with planting and mulching, putting on the pergola cover on and off, general outdoor tidying up and maintenance. Seasonal. What you gain: peace and quiet outdoors in the museum's beautiful gardens, gaining beginner gardening skills or enhancing you existing skills, knowing you've contributed to beautifying a space used by more than 22,000 children and parents each year.

Assisting staff with a variety activities; setting & cleaning up, assisting visitors with crafts or games. Mostly Saturdays. What you gain: Helping make "the magic" happen behind the scenes and having the satisfaction of contributing to the children's smiling faces, meeting new people and learning how large events are organized and run effectively.
